KADI İYASIN ZEKASI

Kadý Ýyas’a birgün bir davacý geldi,
Birisine bir kese altýn verdim dedi,
Hacdan dönünce adam inkar etti,
Ben seni ne gördüm,ne tanýrým dedi.



Kadý, bunu sakýn baþkasýna söyleme,
Þimdi git, iki gün evinde haber bekle,
Kadý inkar edeni,huzuruna davet etti,
Çok iltifat,izzet,ikramla dostu etti.



Ben yarýn uzak bir sefere çýkýyorum,
Sen güvenilir insansýn,bunu biliyorum,
Bir kese altýný, dönene kadar sakla,
Yarýn akþam yollarým, bizim hanýmla.



Ertesi gün davacý olan adam geldi,
Þimdi git, ondan emanetini iste dedi.
Vermezse Kadýya þikayet ederim de,
Bakalým ne yapacak gör de seyreyle.



Davacý gidip ondan emanetini istedi,
Adam gülerek,seni denemiþtim dedi,
Paraný zaten inkar edecek deðildim,
Al emanetini, seni tecrübe etmiþtim.



Kadý Ýyas’a varýp davacý teþekkür etti,
Bir kaç gün sonra adam Kadýya geldi,
Çok aðýr sözlerle, Kadý onu azarladý,
Herkes Kadý Ýyas’ýn aklýna hayran kaldý.

INTELLIGENCE OF THE WOMEN GOOD

One day a plaintiff came to Kadý Iyas,
He said I gave someone a bag of gold,
When he returned from the pilgrimage, the man denied,
He said what I saw, what I know you.

Kadý, do not tell this to anyone else,
Go now, wait for news for two days at your house,
The woman invited those who denied to her presence,
He made friends with compliments, honor, and treats.

I’m going on a distant expedition tomorrow
You are a trustworthy person, I know that,
A bag of gold, keep it until you come back,
I will send it tomorrow night with our lady.

The next day the plaintiff came,
He said go now, ask for his trust.
If he does not give, I will complain to Kadý,
Let’s see what he will do and watch.

The plaintiff went to ask him for his trust,
The man laughed and said I tried you
I wasn’t going to deny your money anyway,
I have experienced you.

He came to Kadý Iyas and thanked the plaintiff,
A few days later the man came to Kadý,
With very heavy words, the Kadi scolded him,
Everyone was amazed by the mind of Kadý Iyas.
